Albina Vision Trust Buys Portland HQ Building

Albina Vision Trust (AVT), a nonprofit created to steward the vision for the future of lower Albina, has acquired a 4,500-square-foot building as its future headquarters.

The office building is located at 2156 N. Williams Avenue, reported the Portland Business Journal. The organization is currently located at the Leftbank building at 240 N. Broadway and will relocate to the new space after renovations are complete. Building upgrades are scheduled to be completed by next spring, with AVT moving in during the following summer.

While AVT, led by Executive Director Winta Yohannes, has been operating out of the historic building, AVT officials thought they should acquire more space, especially as they could plan more events. The new building will feel communal and family-oriented, a theme central to the group’s mission. Albina Vision Trust is overseeing several local projects, and the group aims to transform 94 acres centered on the Rose Quarter into a high-density, mixed-use neighborhood.
