Alaska Airlines Lands at Same SeaTac Facility as Amazon

Alaska Airlines leased space in the same new SeaTac warehouse where Amazon claimed space. Alaska Airlines is taking more than 115,000 square feet at IAC Commerce Center, Sea Tac, a nearly 460,000 square-foot building developed by Illinois-based IAC Properties.

The facility sits on 26 acres of Port of Seattle-owned land at 20529 24th Ave. The airline company indicated it plans to house multiple functions in the space, including those that will support its operation and training. In addition to storage space, there will be a call center for baggage questions.

CBRE’s Andrew Stark, Andrew Hitchcock and Zac Snedeker handle the leasing assignment for IAC Commerce Center, Sea Tac. Hitchcock says, “This was a great opportunity for Alaska Airlines to co-locate several different functions that help support airport operations. IAC’s building is superior to many in the market and provides additional clear height and capacity for some of the warehouse functions Alaska Airlines plans to utilize within the facility. This will be a great long term relationship with Alaska Airlines as a quality tenant and IAC as a quality landlord.”
