Airport Authority Breaks Ground on 800-Acre DuPage Business Center

Officials from the DuPage Airport Authority (DAA), along with NAI Hiffman, DuPage County and the City of West Chicago, broke ground on three new developments at the 800-acre DuPage Business Center in West Chicago. The new projects will be occupied by Suncast Corporation, Norix Group, Inc. and Greco and Sons, Inc.

Coupled with two other currently pending transactions, the activity amounts to more than $24 million in purchased land, encompassing 170-plus acres and will bring jobs and impactful economic development to the suburb 40 miles West of Chicago.

Suncast Corp., a custom wood structures and resin products maker, signed a long-term agreement with developer Pritzker Realty Group to lease a 782,000 square-foot facility. The $4.9 million land deal will pave the way to consolidate Suncast’s Batavia and Montgomery locations into a new warehouse spanning 40 acres.

Norix Group a manufacturer of contract furniture, signed a $2.7 million agreement to build a new 200,000 square-foot LEED-certified global headquarters on 22 acres.

Greco and Sons, a Bartlett, IL-based Italian foods distribution company, signed a $6.2 million agreement to build a new food processing and warehouse center spanning 46 acres.
