AI Spurs Unprecedented Proptech Interest, Along with Questions (VIDEO)

“With the emergence of AI, I’ve never seen so much interest in technology,” said Michael Beckerman, founder and CEO of CREtech, the largest global conference company devoted to technological innovation in the built world. “”So we’re getting more real estate companies coming to CRE Tech than ever before.”

With that heightened interest, though, “there’s a tremendous amount of uncertainty as to what’s the path” in utilizing AI, Beckerman continued. “Do we adopt a solution, a startup, a tech solution that’s off the shelf? Do we build something ourselves using Claude or Gemini or OpenAI? Or is it a combination of the two? So the good news is more interest than ever.”

In advance of CREtech New York, set for Oct. 20-21 at the Javits Center in Manhattan, Beckerman sat down with Daniel Ceniceros, cofounder and CEO of Connect Media, to discuss the current state of proptech. In the video below, you’ll glean insights into the level of investment in proptech and the long-term implications of AI adoption for commercial real estate firms and their employees.
