Affordable Housing Lottery Opens at Brooklyn’s Athena North and South
The city opened its affordable housing lottery for 114 units in the Athena North and South buildings in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill. Both buildings are being developed by the Hudson Companies under the New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development’s (HPD) Inclusionary Housing program, and as part of the redevelopment of the Brooklyn Heights branch of the Brooklyn Public Library.
“Building high-quality affordable housing in areas that sorely need it is a core element of the overall Brooklyn Heights Library redevelopment project, and a big part of what we’ve focused on at Hudson since our inception in 1986,” said company president David Kramer.
Both sites are being developed in conjunction with One Clinton, a 38-story, 133-unit luxury condominium building under construction in Brooklyn Heights and expected to open next summer. That building will house the new Brooklyn Heights branch of the library.
