Adler & Stachenfeld Launches Impact Investing Practice

Adler & Stachenfeld LLP (A&S) has launched an Impact Real Estate Practice to provide counsel on mission-driven and ESG-guided investments and projects in the commercial real estate industry.

The practice, co-led by A&S Partners Danielle Ash and YuhTyng “Tyng” Patka, aims to address the market need for expertise in structuring commercial real estate partnerships and transactions that deliver social impact alongside financial returns.

“There is an incredible opportunity to increase diversity in commercial real estate through the growing number of ESG initiatives in the industry,” said Ash. “Sometimes, a creative legal solution is the difference between an impact initiative being viable or not,” added Patka.

Patka is the chair of A&S’ NYC Real Estate Tax and Incentives Practice Group and Co-chair of the firm’s NYC Climate Mobilization Act Task Force and PACE Financing Practice. Ash is a member of various specialty practice groups, including ground leasing, Opportunity Zones, fund formations, and real estate finance.
