Adafruit Industries Inks 41K-SF at Industry City

Adafruit Industries, a 100 percent woman-owned tech manufacturing company, is moving to Industry City, a 35-acre mixed-use complex in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The company, known for its expertise in designing learning electronics, tools, and equipment, has signed a 10-year lease for a 41,531-square-foot space in Building 19. This space will serve as an office hub for Adafruit’s New York-based employees, as well as a manufacturing and product storage facility.

“The company’s innovative culture and entrepreneurial spirit aligns perfectly with what we’ve built.  It’s encouraging to me that business owners like Limor see the value in our amenity-rich community and how it makes for happy employees,” said Jeff Fein, SVP of Leasing.

The 8,500-person campus of Industry City, which currently houses over 550 businesses, offers leasing opportunities ranging from small offices to industrial buildings for production studios and bioscience laboratories.
