East Coast Based apartment developer, Northland, builds Austin HQ2

Active Austin Apartment Developer Opens Up HQ2

Northland is based in Massachusetts, but needs to get closer to the action in Austin, and the western United States. The company has more than a dozen Austin-area properties and feels the need to establish its western headquarters.

It’s chosen the 38,000 square foot Domain Place boutique office building at 3200 Gracie Kiltz Lane. The Austin Business Journal had more from Northland’s Roman Stephens, “HQ2 is a recognition of Northland’s significant expansion over the past few years. Austin is home to our largest portfolio concentration, making it the perfect location for the firm’s second headquarters.” Jeff England will lead the office, which will cover the western United States. England previously was regional director of multifamily properties at Brookfield Properties.

Texas is Northland’s second most active state for investments behind Florida. And it owns 15 multifamily properties in Austin, more than in any other single city.
