Access Industries Relocates from Crown Bldg
Privately-held investment firm Access Industries is relocating its offices from the Crown Building at 730 Fifth Ave., which is undergoing conversion to a condo-hotel, to the LeFrak Organization’s 40 W. 57th St. in a full-floor sublease from Alix Partners. The 25,000-square-foot sublease runs through 2024.
CBRE’s Ben Friedland, Silvio Petriello and Taylor Scheinman represented sublandlord Alix Partners, while NKF’s Brian Goldman negotiated for Access Industries. Founded in 1986 by industrialist Leonard Blavatnik, who serves as its chairman, Access has holdings in natural resources and chemicals, media and telecommunications, venture capital and real estate.
Friedland, Petriello and their CBRE colleagues Elizabeth Herzberg and Tamika Kramer recently represented DFG Investment Advisers in a 11,219-square-foot sublease at 747 Third Ave. for the entire 38th and 39th floors. The tenant is moving from 655 Third Ave. The sublandlord was represented by JLL’s Ben Bass, Mitch Konsker, Walt Rooney and Daniel Turkewitz.
