AC Marriott Hotels Make Dallas Debut

Civitas Capital Group and Atlantic Hotels Group has secured construction financing to build a 256-room property that will contain a Residence Inn and an AC Hotel, one of Marriott’s newer brands. The dual-branded hospitality property will go north across from Galleria Dallas, on Noel Road, on a site that used to house a Chevrolet dealership. The five-story building is scheduled for a spring 2018 opening.

An additional AC Hotel, on which construction is already underway, will open in downtown Dallas, at 1712 Commerce St., during late spring of next year.

AC Hotels by Marriott is the hotelier’s attempt to target millennials. AC Hotels, headquartered in Spain, and Marriott formed a partnership in 2011, and started the brand in the U.S. in 2013.
