Abbey Residential Launches Sixth San Antonio Multifamily

Abbey Residential LLC began construction on its most recent San Antonio multifamily project. The 396-unit Abbey at Sonterra is going north at Huebner Road in the Stone Oak neighborhood, and is the developer’s sixth in the metro.

The Birmingham, AL-headquartered Abbey Residential is acting as its own general contractor. Clerkley Watkins Group of Houston designed the project, which is expected to open in fall 2020. The four-story complex will offer one, two and three-bedroom units, with amenities including a parking deck, fitness center and pool.

“From an investment standpoint, we’ve been successful in this market. That’s why we continue to invest,” Abbey Residential’s Barbi Breimann told the San Antonio Business Journal.
