AAON Planning $28M Investment and Expansion

AAON Inc. announced its plan to create 125 new jobs, as part of a $28 million investment in Longview, TX. The HVAC equipment manufacturer will relocate the development of its SA Series self-contained unit product from Tulsa, OK, to its Longview facility on 203 Gum Springs Rd., with plans to add an additional 422,000 square feet.

AAON indicated that the Longview facility currently produces a smaller, self-contained unit, but the SA Series, a larger product, will have its own dedicated assembly line. The facility expansion’s first phase, totaling 195,000 square feet, is slated to be completed by October 2020. The overall buildout is scheduled for 2020 completion.

The Longview Economic Development Corp. approved a five-year, $1.25-million performance agreement with AAON. LEDCO also recommended that the city of Longview and Gregg County each extend 50% property tax abatement incentives to the company.
