A Vacant Lot’s Conversion to an Entertainment Venue

Three entrepreneurs launched development on an entertainment and restaurant venue they’ve named Brooklyn StrEat Food Park. When completed, the $2.5 million development, just east of downtown San Antonio, will offer a variety of food trucks, anchored by a multi-level structure. The structure will offer a rooftop terrace that will host live musical acts and other entertainment events.

The site for the development is bordered by Brooklyn Avenue and Live Oak and Burnet Streets, near Alamo Brewery and just south of the Hays Street Bridge. In fact, the developers are hoping Brooklyn StrEat Food Park will spark economic development on the east side of downtown.

The developer is StrEat Park LLC, which is run by Joe Guerrero, Michael Guerrero and Chris Morales. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
