A Nonprofit Takes Financial District Space

United Neighborhood Houses signed a 10-year lease on new headquarters space in the Financial District. The 98-year-old nonprofit will relocate to 6,110 square feet on the 22nd floor of 45 Broadway, owned by The Lawrence Group. The agency currently operates at 70 W. 36th St.

“Downtown Manhattan continues to provide good economic value to nonprofit organizations,” said Debra Wollens, director for Cushman & Wakefield, which represented United Neighborhood Houses in the deal. “Specifically, the move to 45 Broadway will enable UNH to provide large, flexible conference room space for its member organizations, and to create a contemporary, technologically-advanced office environment.”

United Neighborhood Houses is a membership organization of 37 settlement houses whose neighborhood-based services help improve the lives of a half million New Yorkers each year.
