98-Acre Solms Landing Aims for Pedestrian-Friendly Vibe

More details are being released about the 98-acre Solms Landing, a mixed-use development planned on Farm-to-Market Road 306, between Interstate 35 and FM 1101 in New Braunfels, TX. Upon buildout, the $250 million project could introduce 510 rooftops, two hotels and 295,000 square feet of retail space, along with 1,400 jobs to the northern edge of the San Antonio-New Braunfels metro. Also important is that Solms Landing will offer a pedestrian-friendly environment, both within the development, and to nearby schools and businesses.

Developer South Texas Capital Advisors is working with the city to finalize a development plan for the site. According to South Texas Capital’s Jim Mahan, the time frame for the project’s complete build-out is flexible. He did indicate that the initial completion date was five-to-seven years out. Thom’s Market, an independent grocer headquartered in Austin, is interested in putting a convenience store in the development.
