85°C Bakery Café Opening First Texas Store

Taiwan’s top coffeehouse, 85°C Bakery Café, has selected Carrollton Town Center at 2540 Old Denton Rd. in North Dallas for its first store in Texas. A summer opening is planned.

The 85°C Bakery Café chain has more than 800 stores in China, Australia, Hong Kong, the U.S. and its home port of Taiwan. Its philosophy is coffee’s flavor is best maintained at a steady temperature of 85°C, thus the name. Its U.S. focus, until now, has been California, where it’s opened 10 stores since 2008.

Heather Nguyen and John Nguyen of Houston-based NewQuest Properties are representing 85°C in its future site searches. The company anticipates opening three more stores in Dallas and one in Houston.
