775-Unit Mixed-Use Development Opens in Seattle

Grand Street Commons, a mixed-use development with 775 units of housing, has officially opened in Seattle, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Located in the city’s Judkins Park neighborhood, the transit-oriented project includes 60,000 square feet of retail space. Nearly half of the development’s residential units are designated as affordable. The property is in close proximity to the future Judkins Park Link station which is located in the center of I-90 and slated to open in 2025.

Developed by Lake Union Partners and Mt. Baker Housing, Grand Street Commons transformed several blighted blocks into a mixed-use community with a public plaza along Rainier Avenue South. The development has signed SkyZone as a tenant, and a local grocer is in negotiations for the property’s 12,000-square-foot space.
