7600 Broadway MXU Receives City Council Endorsement

Embrey Partners Ltd. received zoning approval from the San Antonio City Council for a mixed-use project at 7600 Broadway St. north of downtown. The local developer is planning 223 apartments and 60,000 square feet of office space on the four-acre plot. The acreage currently holds 66 1960s-era condominiums.

Embrey also plans to move its corporate headquarters from its current location at 1020 N.E. Interstate Loop to the new office building. Meanwhile, the company will charge $3,000 to $4,000 per month for the apartments, which will range in size from under 1,000 square feet to 2,000 square feet. Construction is expected to begin by spring 2019.

Looney Ricks Kiss designed the project, while Embrey is acting as its own general contractor.
