Manor Crossing gets Phase III go-ahead

$71M Retail Development Planned for Manor

Greenview Development is no stranger to Manor. The company received an okay from the town to build phase III of Manor Commons. The $71 million new phase of development could bring hundreds of thousands of square feet of stores, restaurants and hotel space to Manor.

The new phase is slated to rise on a 47-acre greenfield site at the northeast corner of Farm to Market Road 973 and U.S. Route 290.

Preliminary site work is estimated to take 18-24 months before vertical construction begins. At full buildout, the new phase is expected to grow Manor’s tax base by about $105 million across property, hotel and sales taxes and create 670 jobs.

The city will provide up to $9 million in sales and property tax rebates over a 15-year period, once a certificate of occupancy is issued. Another development, Manor Crossing is located across the highway. It’s expected to include 600 rental units and up to 425,000 square feet of commercial space.
