$70M Penthouse Stars in New Thriller

Here’s one way to bring attention to your new luxury condominium tower — have a major Hollywood movie filmed in one of the penthouse apartments.

The duplex penthouse at 50 United National Plaza was the setting for several scenes from “Blind,” a new movie with Demi Moore, Alec Baldwin and Dylan McDermott. More than 100 guests watched a screening of the movie in the 10,000-square-foot penthouse August 2nd, enjoying cocktails and canapes in addition to remarks from film director Diane Fisher.

Attendees also got a look at the penthouse’s infinity edge swimming pool, its 10,000-pound, hand-crafted stainless steel staircase,  and its 75-foot-long main living room with views of the East River, UN Secretariat, the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building.

The penthouse is currently listed for $70 million, according to StreetEasy. It has been on the market for more than 760 days.
