$6M Renovation Announced for 1177 West Loop South

Hicks Ventures and Taconic Capital Advisors unveiled plans for an extensive, $6-million renovation of 1177 West Loop South, a 342,000-square-foot office building acquired in April, 2019. The renovations, which are currently underway, are slated for completion by August 2020.

The renovations will focus on the building’s exterior, garage connector and outdoor plaza. Also to be upgraded are the lobby and elevators. New amenities to be added include fitness and conference center facilities, a tenant lounge area, café, coffee bar and programmable media wall. Gensler is the architect of record, and Terralab the landscape architect.

The building delivered in 1979, with back-of-house upgrades completed between 2014 and 2017. “Since we acquired the building less than a year ago, we have been working diligently to complete a master plan that will usher in a new era for this highly-visible and prominent tower in Uptown,” said Paul Frazier with Hicks Ventures.
