63K-SF Retail Property Changes Hands

AL Enterprises Inc. and Super Market Developers Inc. sold a 5.2-acre, 63,231-square-foot retail property in Amarillo, TX. STORE Capital acquired the former grocery store site at 2200 Bell St., which once housed a United Supermarket.

Michael Meaden with JLL represented the seller in the transaction. CBRE’s Zach Ballenger negotiated on behalf of the buyer. “Big box sites such as this one, centrally located within a dense mature market, provide unique, long-term investment opportunities through traditional means, such as serving as a gateway to welcome new tenants to the market,” Meaden said.

The property, which is anchor to the 96,231-square-foot Interstate Village, came online in the late 1970s, and was once home to an Albertson’s store. The most recent occupant, Cash Saver Supermarket, closed down in August 2019.
