Pierson Companies, DCI Group, Inc. and Ryan Companies US broke ground for Waukee Towne Center, a 62-acre development in Waukee, IA

62-Acre Retail Breaks Ground in Fast-Growing Des Moines Suburb

Pierson Companies, DCI Group, Inc. and Ryan Companies US held a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday for the Waukee Towne Center. The 62-acre development in the Des Moines suburb of Waukee, IA will include trending shops, entertainment and restaurants overlooking an eight-acre lake with a fountain.

“Breaking ground on the Waukee Towne Center development is the next step in our journey which began on this parcel in 2018 to create a fantastic gathering space where people can enjoy great shopping, dining, and social experiences,” said Mike Pierson, co-owner of Pierson Companies. “Once complete, this development will provide the community with great greenspaces and biking trails that connect the development to the regional bike trail system.”

Developed by Pierson Companies, the development will be built by DCI Group in Waukee, one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities. Ryan will build the anchor tenant space for the development. Earthwork is currently underway by Corell Contractor, Inc., CBRE and Fischels are the commercial brokers for the development, Huff Contracting is providing construction services.
