$60M Sports and Rec Facility Proposed in Dripping Springs
A large group of investors are joining forces to build the Dripping Springs Sports Club, a facility that will include a 60,000 square foot fitness center, family entertainment center, restaurant, child care center, outdoor sports courts and indoor sports courts. The indoor courts will include 12 volleyball courts, 4 basketball courts and 20 pickleball courts. The cost of the facility is $60 million.
The Austin Business Journal reports over 30 investors have pledged money to the project. The process will include an equity raise with the minimum contribution of $50,000.
The 150,000-square-foot facility, which will be located on 10 acres at the northwest corner of Canyonwood Drive and U.S. Highway 290, about 20 miles southwest of Austin.
The center is anticipated to generate more than $8 million in revenue by the third year and expect to employ 30 full-time staff and as many as 90 part-time.
The facility is expected to open in 2028.
