60 Acre Mixed-Use Project Begins Site Work At Magnolia Village

The project will start taking shape next month, as Gulf Coast Commercial Group will kick off site-work at the 60-acre project just over 40 miles northwest of Houston. The first phase of the retail and multi-family development is expected to include three 10,000 square-foot retail buildings on the corner of FM 1488 and Spur 149 and 12 single-tenant buildings nearby on 36 acres. Trammell Crow Residential plans to develop a 300-apartment complex on 12 nearby acres, near where an H-E-B grocery store is going in.

Gulf Coast’s Patrick Egan says the the community is anxious for the projects, “…this is particularly exciting pocket of the community, and we’re already seeing interest from daily needs tenants such as restaurants, medical and service businesses.”

Gulf Coast expects the vertical improvements to be completed near the end of the year.
