Connect Houston is right around the corner! Log on here for more details.
Houston real estate developer Jonathan Enav unveiled plans to open Lyric Market at 411 Smith at Prairie, a 31,000-square-foot food hall. The $58-million project will be attached to the Lyric Centre at 440 Louisiana St. in the downtown theater district.
Enav told the Houston Chronicle that he’s hoping to create a culinary and retail experience, similar to that of Harrods Food Hall in London, Sarona Market in Tel Aviv and Chelsea Market in New York. He also expressed hope that Lyric Market would replace NASA as one of Houston’s top places to visit.
The food hall is scheduled to open in later 2018, and will offer many levels containing anchor and ancillary restaurants, wine, cocktail and coffee bars, and a bakery and ice cream shop. The marketplace will be topped by seven levels of parking, totaling 800 spaces.
