525-Unit Multifamily Conversion Planned in Alexandria
Washington, D.C.-based Perseus Realty plans to convert a former 610,000-square-foot office building into a 525-unit residential building in Alexandria, VA’s Hoffman Town Center. The site at 200 Stovall St. will also include more than 26,000 square feet of retail and roughly 20,000 square feet of amenity space.
The redevelopment plan includes increasing the height of the building from 150 feet to 200 feet, and expanding the total square footage to roughly 690,000 square feet. Parts of the lower three floors are slated to be converted into 246 parking spaces.
The now vacant, 50-year-old, obsolete office building was once leased to the General Services Administration. The nearly six-acre site is a block away from the Eisenhower Metro station.
