Erland Completes Athletic Field House for Middlesex School

Erland Construction, in collaboration with Rimkus and CBT Architects, has completed the Curtis Center, a new athletic field house at Middlesex School on the school’s historic Concord campus. The new two-story, 106,000-square-foot facility was designed and constructed to support a wide range of programs and activities.

The field house features a fitness center, indoor turf practice space, two basketball/volleyball courts, an elevated indoor track, and lower-level parking for 72 vehicles. The building is also expected to achieve LEED Silver certification.

Ben McConchie, academic group manager at Erland Construction, said, “Projects like this are about more than just the building. They’re about the experience it creates for students every day. From early-morning practices to team events and informal use, this facility will be in constant use. It’s rewarding to see how it’s already becoming a central part of campus life, and we’re proud to have played a role in delivering it.”
