50-Acre Office Park to Become Mixed Use

The Centre, an office park on Midway Road in Farmers Branch, TX, will be undergoing a renovation into a mixed-use development. Boxer Property, which owns the 50-acre, 11-office-building property, plans to tear down three of the office buildings, replacing them with apartments and retail. The project will be known as Midway Urban Village.

Construction on The Centre, on McEwen Drive and Blue Lake Circle, began in the late 1970s, when the north Dallas suburb was mainly undeveloped. Office buildings were placed around a small lake, which had its origins as an old quarry.

Boxer is currently working with Farmers Branch officials on the redevelopment. The plan is for 193 rental townhomes, 70 apartments, and first-floor retail.
