49ers Investing $200M in Levi’s Stadium Upgrades

The 49ers announced Tuesday that the NFL franchise will invest $200 million in capital improvements at Levi’s Stadium. The improvements are being made in preparation for 2026, when Levi’s Stadium will become the first venue in history to host a FIFA World Cup and Super Bowl in the same year.

The upgrades include 20 additional field seats for field-level experiences, while the Graton Winners Club will service more than 2,000 fans and feature two new open-air patio bars and other fan-facing activations. Additionally, more than 120 luxury suites in Levi’s Stadium are being remodeled. Half of all suite renovations were completed this past offseason, and the remaining half will be completed ahead of the 2025 season.

The stadium will also receive new video boards giving it the largest 4K display in the league. Another 13,000 square feet of LED screens will also be upgraded, while a new LED field lighting system will brighten the playing surface for primetime night games while conserving energy.
