Two Biotech Tenants Relocate to Waltham Campus

CBRE has completed two leases for lab space at GENESIS 21 Hickory, a Class A life science center located at 21 Hickory Dr. in Waltham’s life science corridor. Dash Bio and Bonito Bio each signed full-floor leases totaling 48,127 square feet at the property owned by Phase 3 Real Estate Partners, Inc. and Bain Capital Real Estate.

A CBRE team of Eric Smith, Alex Plaisted and Perry Beal represented building ownership in the lease negotiations and marketing efforts for the property. Savills represented Dash Bio, and Cushman & Wakefield acted on behalf of Bonito Labs.

“Both biotech firms wanted to elevate their image and committed to space with growth potential at a property with the highest quality options in the market,” said Smith. “Both are relocating their operations to newly built lab space at a property that was converted by the ownership to meet the highest standards in the sector.”

Dash Bio will relocate its labs from 75 Chapel St. in Newton, while Bonito Bio is relocaing from 850 Winter St. in Waltham.
