Sagard Acquires Bay Area Industrial from LA Nonprofit

Denver-based Sagard Real Estate said it had acquired a 260,989-square-foot warehouse in San Leandro. CBRE, which did not identify the seller, said the property was the fully leased Farallon Industrial and Logistics Center at 2009-2013 Farallon Dr. The San Francisco Business Times reported that Sagard paid $62.75 million to acquire the property from its longtime owner, the Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit.

“This transaction reinforces our belief in the strength of the U.S. industrial sector and the value that can be unlocked by building a diversified portfolio of infill properties in densely populated, supply-constrained markets,” said Tyler Williams, managing director at Sagard.

Built in 1973 and most recently renovated in 2024, the San Leandro property is leased to tenants in the food and beverage and energy tech industries.

CBRE’s Chris van Keulen, Bob Ferraro, Michael Barry and Rebecca Perlmutter Finkel represented both the seller and buyer.
