Desert Diamond Casino opens in Glendale

$450M Casino to Open West of Phoenix

The Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise will hold a grand opening event for its fifth casino property, Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks at San Lucy on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024.

This new facility is located near Loop 303 and Northern Parkway, west of Glendale.

The facility features an 184,000-square-foot casino floor. It will include 900 Class III slot machines, a poker room, a retail sportsbook, and table games including blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. The new facility will also be home to multiple restaurant options, including a Morton’s Steakhouse.

Construction of the $450 million project began in April 2023, and the Hunt/Penta Joint Venture served as the general contractor. More than 5,500 construction jobs were created over the past 19 months. JCJ Architecture led the design of the new facility, which Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks will eventually expand to include a hotel, conference center, outdoor pool and recreational amenities, and an amphitheater with event lawn space.
