Advanced Scientifics Inc. has acquired a one-story, 43,669-square-foot, food processing facility from KLB Holdings LLC. Advanced Scientifics, a division of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., paid $1 million for the facility at 101 Teardrop Lane in Millersburg, PA. Michael Treacy with Binswanger represented the seller in the transaction.

The air-conditioned and air-filtered industrial building has 6” reinforced concrete floors, process areas fully epoxy-coated with floor drains, pre-engineered, insulated metal panel walls and FRP interior walls, columns spaced 40’ x 40’ and 30’ ceiling heights. Other features include T-5 fluorescent lighting, two Atlas-Copco air compressors with dryers, and air piping throughout the processing space.

The new owner will use the facility to expand its Pennsylvania operations.
