IPA Names Andrew Leahy Director of Multifamily

Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a specialized division of Marcus & Millichap that serves the company’s institutional clients, said Thursday that Andrew Leahy has joined the firm as SVP, national director of IPA’s multifamily division. Leahy will lead IPA advisory teams across North America in providing best-of-class services and expanding IPA into additional markets.

Leahy brings more than 20 years of experience in institutional multifamily investment, portfolio management and strategic expansion into target markets across real estate cycles. Over his career he has executed more than $6 billion in transactions.

Hessam Nadji, Marcus & Millichap’s president and CEO, said, “Andrew’s extensive knowledge as part of both public and private institutional investment platforms will bring a unique client-oriented perspective and skillset to enhance our services and accelerate IPA’s growth.”

Previously, Leahy led investments for Elme Communities, significantly expanding its multifamily portfolio. He has served with the Rockefeller Group, where he led acquisitions throughout the U.S. on behalf of domestic and global private equity investors.
