$42M Refi Obtained for MXU Century Square

Midway Cos. and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital obtained refinancing to the tune of $42 million for Century Square, a 60-acre, mixed-use project next to Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. The development, which includes 159,128 square feet of retail space and 57,204 square feet of office space, was completed in 2018.

JLL’s Colby Mueck, Timothy Joyce, Stephen Skok, Stuart Hepler, Katherine Miller and Charlie Strauss represented the borrower in placing the non-recourse loan, which was provided by funds managed by the Real Estate Group of Ares Management Corp.

Century Square, located at 175 Century Square Dr., is a walkable, urban project. The retail component houses a mix of national and local tenants, while the office space consists of spacious and modern floor plans. The project, which features green spaces and outdoor events, also contains two boutique hotels and an apartment complex, which were not included in the financing.
