428-Room Austin Hotel Hits the Auction Block
The Line Austin is scheduled to be sold to the highest bidder at Travis County’s June 2 foreclosure auction. The 428-key hotel, was named the Crest Hotel when it was built in 1965. It was later a Radisson hotel before it was rebranded The Line after Sydell Group purchased it for $130 million in 2016. The Line brand is part of Soho House & Co. Inc.
The Austin Business Journal reports that the property owner defaulted on a $172 million loan provided by JPMorgan in December 2023. The 169,586-square-foot hotel is appraised at $168.9 milliont.
