425K-SF Craftsman Plant Coming to Fort Worth
Stanley Black & Decker announced it would expand its manufacturing footprint in the United States, with a new Craftsman manufacturing plant in Fort Worth. Construction will launch in summer 2019 on the 425,000-square-foot plant, located in Hillwood-owned AllianceTexas, near Interstate 35W. The facility is scheduled for completion in late 2020.
The new plant will manufacture a series of Craftsman tools, including sockets, ratchets, wrenches and general sets. The facility will employ approximately 500 full-time employees. “This new plant will also be the latest in our network of manufacturing facilities – one that uses state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and demonstrates our commitment to becoming one of the world’s leaders in advanced manufacturing,” said Stanley Black & Decker’s Jim Loree.
Earlier in 2019, the New Britain, CT-based company opened a 1.2-million-square-foot shipping hub at Alliance Northport in Northlake, TX, north of Fort Worth. That facility is at I-35W and SH 114.
