41-Story Resi Tower Planned at DTLA’s World Trade Center

Plans were filed with the City of Los Angeles to demolish a portion of the World Trade Center in DTLA to make way for a 41-story residential tower. 350 South Figueroa, LLC is the entity listed on the entitlement filing, which reportedly has ties to Jamison, and the World Trade Center property is listed among Jamison Services, Inc.’s portfolio of properties.

The case filing indicates the developer is seeking to build up to 740 residential units at the corner of 4th and Figueroa. The Bunker Hill site currently houses a parking structure and retail concourse.

Jamison acquired the the existing 373,000-square-foot World Trade Center property in 2004 from Tokyo-based Haseko Corporation for $51.7 million. The Koreatown-based firm’s recent activities include the development of Circa, a $500-million residential project in South Park, as well as multiple projects in Koreatown.
