41-Story DTLA MXU Tower Moves Forward
Mitsui Fudosan America’s 41-story mixed-use residential project at Figueroa and 8th Streets in DTLA is moving through the planning process with the city. The 1.16-acre site is located at 744 South Figueroa St., adjacent to the Figat7th project.
The proposed development is envisioned for 438 residential units and nearly 7,500 square feet of commercial retail and restaurant uses. There would be parking for 517 vehicles encompassed in four subterranean levels and three above-grade levels.
The latest proposal calls for a reduction in project size from nearly 482,000 square feet to under 425,000 square feet, though the height has been increased from 501 feet to 530 feet, to account for mechanical space on the roof.
Once approvals are received, Mitsui Fudosan America anticipates completion in 2022.
