$40M Sports and Event Center Opens in Bryan

The Texas town of Bryan recently opened its $40-million Legends Event Center. The 122,000-plus square-foot center includes courts for volleyball, basketball, pickleball, strength and conditioning training and has a space for esports competitions.

With 16 volleyball courts that can convert to eight basketball courts and includes full concessions, residents can enjoy all amenities including a gaming arena, arcade, turf space and a flex space with access to an outdoor patio for events.

Bryan’s John Frieble believes that the center will pay for itself with the number of visitors it’ll bring in,“You got teams, you got participants, you got spectators, you got coaches,” said Frieble. “They’re all going to come in, fill our hotels, fill our restaurants, spend those dollars within the community so we can drive that economic impact that tourism brings.”

Legends Event Center is owned by the city and managed by Sports Facilities Companies
