$40M Comprehensive Cancer Center Planned in Mission Viejo
Mission Hospital plans to break ground in January 2018 on a new $40-million comprehensive cancer center in Mission Viejo, CA. The center is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019, and will be built by Snyder Langston.
It will be housed in a dedicated 104,000-square-foot facility located directly across the street from Mission Hospital on Medical Center Road. The four-story facility will include extensive medical office space for physicians dedicated to care for patients with cancer and other specialty needs, and it will also have its own parking structure.
Mission Hospital’s Tarek Salaway says, “We are embarking on a $40 million campaign to provide a comprehensive cancer institute that brings together our talented physicians and clinicians with a focus on innovative technology, advanced diagnostic and therapeutic patient care, dedicated research, genomics, education and prevention programs to meet vitally important medical needs and whole-person care of our community.”
