400K SF of Cold Storage Arriving in Johnson County
Austin-headquartered Yukon Ventures and Saxum Real Estate of Summit, NJ joined forces to develop a 400,000-square-foot cold-storage facility in Burleson, TX, located in Johnson County.
The refrigerated and cold storage distribution center will go north in the HighPoint Business Park, a 159-acre development on Interstate 35W, approximately 20 miles south of Fort Worth. The building’s scheduled completion is winter, 2021.
Premier Refrigerated Warehouse signed a lease to occupy 200,000 square feet as the project’s anchor. “Being anchored by a public warehouse allows our tenant partners the ability to expand into Premier’s space during times of high inventory,” said Yukon Ventures’ Martin Khait. “This creates tremendous flexibility for these users, a critical factor for supply chain resilience.”
The remaining 200,000 square feet can be split into two 100,000-square-foot sections, with each providing 87,000 square feet of freezer-capable space. Developers can add an additional 300,000 square feet on the 45-acre site.
