3M Puts 156-Acre Austin Campus on the Market

Minnesota-based 3M Co. is selling its 156-acre campus in Northwest Austin. The site, which includes 1 million square feet of office space, is at 6801 River Place Blvd., at Ranch-to-Market 620 and Ranch-to-Market 2222. The company’s other northwest Austin facility, near Research Boulevard, is not part of the sale.

The company, which employs 800 in the Austin area, built the campus in 1988. The campus is valued at $80 million, according to the Travis Central Appraisal District. 3M did not immediately indicate the reason for selling the corporate campus, which houses employees working in the electronics and energy group.
