Allen Harrison Company approved for 350-unit apartment project in McKinney

McKinney OKs Rental Community in Bustling Area

McKinney City Council narrowly approved a rezoning request which will allow the Allen Harrison Company to build 350 multifamily units. On a 4-3 vote, the council okayed the $90 million project to go on an 80-acre site at McKinney Ranch Parkway and Collin McKinney Parkway. The site will feature six four-story buildings situated around a central parking structure. The site plan also includes a swimming pool and amenity center.

On the southern end of the site, a space spanning 5.8 acres is expected to be converted into a public community recreation area. Community Impact reports the space could feature a sport court, a playground, and hiking and biking trails.

Over 1,800 planned or existing multifamily units are within a mile of the site. Since its founding, Allen Harrison Company has developed or acquired 53 properties totaling 12,236 units.
