$38M Buc-ee’s Headed for Boerne
Buc-ee’s is not your average convenience store. A recent survey reported the average costs of a new convenience store is $7 million. The new Buc-ee’s in Boerne, $38 million. The 53,471-square-foot gas station will be located off of Interstate 10 and U.S. Business 87.
Plans to build the new gas station have been a decade in the making. The Buc-ee’s in Boerne was announced in 2016, but the wait for TxDOT to finish road improvements has delayed the project almost a decade. The new Buc-ee’s will be similar to the other Texas locations, designated as a “Travel center with associated sitework and fuel canopies.” Construction will start on Oct. 1 and should be completed by Oct. 1, 2024. The new location will be the 41st location of the Buc-ee’s in the United States. Boerne is about 30 miles NW of San Antonio.
