$37M Cosmopolitan Skyline Hotel Rising in Tijuana

Construction has commenced on Cosmopolitan Skyline, a $37 million hotel property on Avenida Revolución, a short walk from the historic Caesar’s restaurant in Tijuana, Mexico.

The 25-story tower, which will rise on Tijuana’s legendary tourism and hospitality thoroughfare, will offer 264 hotel rooms and 4,000 square feet of commercial space. Its architecture is distinctive, glass and steel in three configurations resembling stacked boxes at odd angles.

It will be a departure for the street that mainly has three-to four-story buildings, and likely will attract attention for its unique profile on a low rise skyline.

According to developer Cosmopolitan Group, the project will be a catalyst for Avenida Revolución, a favored destination for tourism. Notably, there is an empty lot directly across the street from the construction site. Cosmopolitan Group expects the Mexican city’s historic downtown will again become a major hub for foreigners, like it was 100 years ago.
