37 Acres of Destination Retail Coming to Blanco, TX
Rinco of Texas, Campestres Resorts and Gomez Vazquez International Architects are finalizing plans for Roperville, a 37-acre destination retail development south of Blanco, TX, on SH 281. Blanco is approximately 50 miles north of downtown San Antonio.
The development’s first phase will include a Marriott-branded hotel with more than 100 rooms, a ballroom and on-site restaurant, along with 12,000 square feet of local retail. The developers are specifically targeting restaurants that already have a loyal Hill Country following.
The four-phase project is expected to break ground in spring of next year, with the first phase anticipated for year-end delivery. Instead of chasing big-box tenants, however, the development team wants retail that will keep visitors on site for the whole day. As such, the development will offer plenty of green space, including a dog park.
