$35M Renovation Launched on Hilton Houston North
Close to a year after buying the 480-room Hilton Houston North in Houston’s CityNorth mixed-use development, Florida owner Driftwood Hospitality Management launched renovations on the north-side hotel. The company plans to spend $35 million to overhaul just about every aspect of the property at 12400 Greenspoint Dr.
The renovation project will impact all guestrooms, along with the hotel’s 52,000-square-foot meeting space and 40,000-square-foot atrium lobby. The lobby will include a new tech center, lobby lounge bar, a 15,000-square-foot Starbucks, Herb N’ Kitchen Grab & Go and a Hearth Restaurant. “We are especially excited about the addition of Hearth, because the hotel does not currently have a fine-dining restaurant,” hotel general manager Richard Slutter told the Houston Business Journal.
Driftwood Hospitality is serving as its own general contractor on the renovations, which are scheduled for completion by April 2020.
