35K-SF Abrazo Cave Creek Hospital Planned
Abrazo Health is set to begin construction on a microhospital in Cave Creek, AZ. Situated just outside of Phoenix, the 35,000-square-foot facility dubbed Abrazo Cave Creek Hospital will offer 13 emergency exam rooms, a surgical suite, eight inpatient beds, an imaging suite and separate ER and hospital lobby/registration areas. The healthcare microhospital at Carefree Highway and Cave Creek Road is scheduled to open next year.
Abrazo Cave Creek Hospital will be the healthcare system’s third neighborhood hospital. Abrazo Mesa Hospital opened in October 2019, and Abrazo Surprise Hospital is expected to open late this year. Each of the hospitals is integrated with the organization’s larger sister hospitals, medical groups and community physicians.
“This type of hospital meets a need for convenient access to medical care beyond what’s available at an urgent care or freestanding emergency center,” said Abrazo’s Ed Staren.
